How to Read Our Snow Data Above
Snowfall amounts for 12hr (overnight), 24hr, and 48hr timeframes are based on measurements taken at 5am daily. 24hr and 48hr snow totals are cumulative, so whatever fell in the last 24 is built into the 48. Between 5pm and 5am our weather data is automatically updated based on telemetry data from Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center and represents our overnight totals. The "Since 5am" snowfall amount is based on manual measurements taken periodically throughout the day.

April 22, 2018: Good morning skiers and riders! It's looking like the start of an epic spring day up here at the Summit at Snoqualmie, where we will have only Alpental open today from 9am to 4pm. We are under clear skies and the temps are rising to make for some great corn! The weather experts are calling for mostly sunny skies today with the freezing level rising to 5,000 feet this afternoon. So, what that means, you will find firm conditions underfoot this morning at the base area and a little fresh powder on a crust at the summit of Alpental. Becoming loose granular, aka hero snow, later this morning (especially on the sunny slopes). Please note, that Sessel was NOT groomed last night, which leaves Debbie's Gold as your choice for corduroy leading back to the base area. Also, for all of the beginner snow fans, we will be running the Magic Carpet and St. Bernard for your downhill fun. On last thing, before you head out, pack the sunblock. If you were up here yesterday, I'm sure you are pumped for another great day at Alpental. Also, for all of you park fans, the "Alpental Park" which you should notice to your "lookers left" (as you are riding up Armstrong Express), is FANTASTIC! The park crew got very creative on this one, so be sure to come check it out (park pass required). If you'd like a little more info, hit the "old school" snow line @ 206-236-1600! Hope to see everyone on the snow at some point today, drive safely and always check with the WSDOT for travel conditions.
All restrictions for LTD and X-Passes have been lifted. Holders of these passes can now ski anytime we're open at Alpental for the rest of the season! Enjoy!
